Yep, the Greens voted for the ETS. If I remember right (I had left Parliament by the time of the final vote) they supported it because it was a comprehensive scheme that brought in all sectors - eventually.
Personally I thought it was too weak. It let farming off the hook with massive phase in times and subsidies. I thought that by voting for it, the Greens ran the danger of allowing Labour to say they had it all under control while doing very little, at least within the time frame within which urgent action is needed ie the next few years.
Don't know much about ethanol as a fuel but am interested. A lot of hemp activists thought hemp would be good for that. I'm also v interested in biodiesel.
You in Ngaruawahia? Maybe we can meet and talk.
Nandor
Kool,
Thanx for the feedback.
My views concur with Rodney Hide's (no I'm a middle of the road man, right in the centre) that the ETS is a scam.
Initiated by Al Gore (& perhaps part of the One World Govt agenda?) for financial gain. More info here:

He's really a greedy capitalist in Left wing wolf's clothing.

With regards to your reply & this:
"they supported it because it was a comprehensive scheme that brought in all sectors - eventually".
How does a FART TAX or ETS benefit Aotearoa & it's people?
Yep I was thinking about the hemp one too. I'm sure you'd be up on the play with the legal requirements etc.
Na bro am in Hamilton.
Hardly ever cruise out your way. To pohara.
When you in town again? Maybe we can organise a time to hook up when it's convenient for us both?
Noho ora mai,
